Variety of warm-ups -
Necessary to prepare the body for technical work and to avoid any injury and
to get one in the mood for the lesson after a day at school or the office.

Movement - Learning how to
move with proper technique. So many students move badly even at an advanced
level. Students need to be compact and balanced and use their bodyweight to
its full potential, with the aid of footwork and body position. Flexible and
spring-like movements along with speed with an explosive waist technique is
the ultimate goal, but it takes patience and endurance.

Stretching - Ballistic and
static stretching through a gradual progression with a varied and safe
stretching programme. A good stretch will give a student more speed and
range when kicking and punching.

Target Practice - Small
targets are important for focus and kicking small areas and large targets
for power and speed kicking. It is important to apply the right technique to
a kick or punch and not just kick hard without focus.

Self Defence - Learning how
to apply Tae Kwon Do techniques and mental development to confrontational
situations.

Weapons Training - Senior
students learn a weapons form for 1st degree black belt which involves
mastering a stick called the Dan Bong, for which there are two short stick forms.
Senior dan grade holders learn a long stick form called Jung Bong, and 4th
Dan and above learn the knife form called Dan Geom.
