Tribute to the late Founder
General Choi Hong Hi, 9th Dan

In recognition and respect for The Founder.
General Choi Hong Hi created, developed and introduced the art of Tae Kwon Do
in Korea in 1946.
There are 24 patterns or tuls that he created which were named after
Korean heroes. Embedded in his reason for the 24 patterns lies a moral
philosophy. He asserts that the life of a human being, perhaps a 100 years, in
relation to eternity, can also be referred to as one day, 24 hours in relation
to the 24 patterns or all of their lives. If this is the case, then why do
people enslave themselves in materialism, as if they will live forever, whilst
other people leave behind a good spiritual legacy?
He stated "Here I leave Tae Kwon Do for mankind as a trace of a man of
the late 20th Century. The 24 patterns represent 24 hours a day or all my
life".
