Telecom infrastructure

Reliable, high speed communications facilities have converted the world into a global village. Nowhere is this more true than in the IT industry. Dedicated links to overseas sites, email and the Internet have made remote development in India for clients overseas, a reality.

The following services are available between points in India:

Overseas connectivity is provided by the Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (VSNL) and by the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI). VSNL provides the following facilities: All these facilities are accessible from different parts of the country through tail links provided by the Department of Telecommunications.

The STPI has established F3 IBS earth stations, which serve as international gateways. These gateways are integrated with line of sight point-to-multipoint digital TDMA equipment for connecting the user premises located outside the complex through microwave links.

While considerable progress has already been made, the near future promises even more. Recent changes in government policy have seen the entry of major international telecom vendors and operators. Among those who have operations in the country, and are offering state-of-the-art technology in a bid for a share of the multi-billion telecom dollar market that is emerging are:

Alcatel AT&T British Telecom
Ericsson MCI Motorola
Nokia Philips Siemens

High standing as an international source of OEM Professional Services
