Indian software company ties up with Actor AB of Sweden

Transmatic Systems Ltd. (TSL) of India has recently announced its tie-up with Actor AB of Sweden to develop a software package which can be used to monitor adverse drug reaction by pharmaceutical companies. Actor AB will market the software in the rest of the world. The software being developed by Transmatic’s software division will help in the feeding of various inputs into the database.

Indian subsidiary of IVL Gmbh of Germany ties up with Windsoft Advanced School of Information Technology

IVL India Ltd., a 100% subsidiary of Informationsverarbeitung Leverkussen (IVL GmbH) of Germany, based at the Technopark in Thiruvanthapuram, in the State of Kerala, and the Windsoft Advanced School of Information Technology (W-ASIT), a professionally managed advanced school of information technology in Thiruvananthapuram, have entered into a strategic tie-up to provide in-house, job-oriented ABAP/4 training for software development on SAP R/3 development platform. IVL India will make available to W-ASIT its exclusive facilities for live projects and practicals.

IVL India is a development centre for mission-critical applications using SAP R/3 development platform and started its commercial operations in April, 1996. Key business areas include utility facilities, public organizations, communities, customized solutions and Internet-enabled applications.

JBA of UK joins hands with an Indian company for ERP solutions

UK-based JBA, a vendor of ERP solutions, has tied-up with Unicorp Industries Ltd., New Delhi, to market, support, and customize ERP solutions in India.

JBA’s 'System 24' software provides manufacturing, financial, customer service and logistics solutions in the food, automotive, drinks, style, and service management sectors.

Infotech Enterprises, India, ties up with a German firm for GIS products

InfoTech Enterprises, Hyderabad, has entered into an agreement with Cardy Karten Information Systems of Germany, a Ziegler Engineering group company, for joint development of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) products and for off-shore software development.

The agreement envisages the setting up of a Cardy Centre of Excellence (CCE) in Hyderabad, comprising of a team of InfoTech software developers working exclusively on joint product development.

Newell & Budge of Scotland ties up with an Indian software company

Newell & Budge, a $ 10 million software company based in Scotland, has entered into a strategic alliance with the Calcutta-based RS Software Ltd. According to the arrangement between RS Software and Newell & Budge, the former’s personnel will go to Scotland on a regular basis for acclimatization and training for the development of customized software for the European market. Over the next few years, the Indian company will take over the task of developing 25% of the Scottish company’s customized software requirement. The idea behind the tie-up is to bring together the core capabilities of the partners to garner a larger share of the European customized software market in the IBM mainframes segment. Newell & Budge has among its clients the Royal Bank of Scotland and Standard Life.

Indo-British joint venture company to enter into the telecom software sector

BAeHAL Software Limited, Bangalore, the joint venture company of British Aerospace (BAe), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bangalore, and Unit Trust of India (UTI), Mumbai, with 40 %, 49% and 11% equities respectively, is planning to enter into the telecom software sector. In the telecom sector, the joint venture company is keen on developing real time software (switching circuits) and simulators. The company has a dedicated 128 kbps satellite link to undertake offshore projects.

Indo-Swedish joint venture for marketing ERP software in India

Microtech Software and Consultants Ltd., Mumbai, has tied up with Intentia of Sweden, one of the top ten economic research planning (ERP) companies worldwide, to market "movex", a fully integrated business application for ERP solutions in India.
