
Siemens Nixdorf, India, launches a new software product
Siemens Nixdorf India launched a new standard for security in Intranets with its new 'TrustedWeb' product. Organizations are increasingly moving their internal communication to the Internet standards. This technology means that all of the information that is in the network is readily accessible to all the employees in the organization. Now, this broad wealth of information can be channeled and confidentiality of the data can be guaranteed. TrustedWeb software is a product that meets the most stringent demands in terms of security, reliability, scalability and access protection using 128-bit encryption.
TrustedWeb is made up of three software components : TrustedWeb Client is installed and configured fully automatically over the network from a central location; TrustedWeb Server checks access on the basis of the role assigned to the user; and TrustedWeb Domain Security Server grants access permission to the authenticated user.
Synectics Technologies, Bangalore, to launch its retail banking software in UK and other countries
Bangalore-based Synectics Technologies, a Microsoft solutions provider, will market its multi-currency, multi-branching retail banking software- (RBS) - "Quaestor". RBS is claimed to be the first software product that can run on a Windows NT platform and has been installed by Synectics at the Arab Bank in London and the NC Bank at Jeddah. It will soon launch the same software to private banks in India. With Quaestor, the bank can develop its own applications that interact with the Central Notification System (CNS), which links different branches with the host computer for all front-end applications, and controls database synchronization.
Japanese company's Indian subsidiary launches ERP software
TGK (India) Limited, a subsidiary of Toyo Gijutsu Kogyo Company Ltd., of Japan, and a leading software solution provider in Oracle and a system integrator for Lotus Corporation, has announced the launch of Enterprise Wide Resource Planning solution (ERP), with the first implementation at the Samtel Color's plant at Ghaziabad, near New Delhi.
The entire solution is completely built in Oracle RDBMS and client server environment, taking about 500 man-months to implement. The product has been designed and developed using the latest Oracle tools and provides full back-end and front-end capabilities.
Tata Consultancy Services launches integrated banking software
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced in Bangalore its latest addition to the suite of integrated software banking system (ISBS) - a multi-branch bank application called Anywhere Banking. It enables the bank customer to transact business through his/her personal account from any networked branch/location of the bank.
'Anywhere Banking' has been developed using industry-standard middleware and provides cost effective solutions for Indian banks to integrate their branch operations. It stores data in message code and its security features include check- sum validity and encryption/decryption features.
